This map shows the area that was studied in 2006 and early 2007 for
a potential Chuckanut Mountains Park District. The area generally extends from Blanchard Mountain and Samish Island
in Skagit County, through the Chuckanuts and south Bellingham, to the west slopes of Galbraith and Lookout Mountains. The
actual district boundaries being proposed fall well within this original study area. Residents in adjacent areas may petition
to be added to the CMPD in the future (contact the CMPD Advisory Committee for information).
